In the morning
meeting with our professional representative at the hotel, we will go to our
first stop will be the Al-Rifai Mosque, a modern 19th century mosque, it was
architecturally conceived as a complement to the larger structure. In the same
area we will also go into the Sultan Hassan mosque and madrasa, built in 1361
and it is considered one of the most beautiful mosques in the city, and some
even cite it as part of the largest Islamic monuments in the world, its
building combines strength and splendor, elegance and beauty, with a very
varied decoration. These monuments are considered the best constructions of
architecture from the early Mamluk period, a time of splendor.
Our next visit
will be the Ibn Tulun Mosque, it is the oldest mosque in Egypt and one of the
largest in the world, it is also famous for its charming and unique minaret.
Ibn Tulun Mosque is a large mosque in Cairo built by Ahmad Ibn Tulun. It was
also the third congregational mosque to be built in Cairo.
The next visit
will be the Al-Azhar mosque is one of the most important in Cairo from the
historical, religious and architectural point of view and was founded in the
period (970-972), it is considered the national mosque of Egypt. It is the
second oldest Islamic university in the world and the most important in the
teaching of Islamic law (Sharia) and Shiite theology in its origins, and Sunni
from the 12th century. It was the first mosque established in Cairo, a city
that has already earned the nickname "the city of a thousand
minarets."
At the end of
