Enjoy dinner aboard one of the Nile cruises in Cairo with a magnificent oriental show and Tanoura with the belly dance show.
For three hours we will enjoy not only a delicious
buffet dinner, with a great variety of typical Egyptian dishes, but also a show
of traditional music and dances.
Two of the traditional dances that we will witness are
Al Tannoura and Oriental Dance.
Al Tannoura is the name of the dance also known as Sufi
turn or dervish turn, which was introduced in Egypt during the Ottoman
occupation. This dance is generally performed by men and is a demonstration of
concentration, balance and physical strength, and requires extensive training.
Oriental dance is the true name of the dance known as
"belly dance", which has its origin in the East and has different
characteristics depending on the region or country of origin. In Cairo the
Baladi style is danced, more sensual and sophisticated. The word
"baladi" is the one that was mistakenly interpreted by the
Anglo-Saxons as "belly dance", an expression that literally
translated results in "belly dance".
While sailing, we will enjoy the spectacle of seeing the
city of Cairo illuminated.
