As much as it is studied and as much as we think we know about Ancient Egypt, there are still many things that perhaps you did not know about this culture that influenced history so much.

There are still many puzzles to be discovered around Ancient Egypt, one of the oldest and most studied civilizations.

7- Most of the country is in Africa, but the Sinai Peninsula is considered Asia

8- More than 95% of the country's extension is arid desert, so 90% of the population is concentrated in 3% of the territory

9- The oldest known writing system was born in Egypt, the hieroglyph. It means sacred stone writing and dates from 3,200 B.C.

 10- The ancient Egyptians thought that the heart was the center of wisdom of man and not the brain

 11- The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world. The only one that has survived to this day.

12- Did you know that many of the household utensils that we use were invented or used by the ancient Egyptians? These include the key and lock, combs, scissors, wigs, makeup, deodorants, toothbrushes, and even toothpaste. Curious, right?

13- The Great Pyramid of Giza, the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which has survived to this day, is made up of 2,300,000 individual stone blocks, each weighing around 2.5 tons.

14- The Book of the Dead was a fundamental work of the culture of ancient Egypt. It was a very long text: some specimens preserved in papyrus rolls reach forty meters. It was also an expensive product, for which you could pay a silver debit, half of a farmer's annual pay. But, for the Egyptians, the value of this text was incalculable, since its formulas allowed the deceased to reach the Hereafter.

15- Finally, to the ancient Egyptians we owe the preparation of a 365-day calendar that has survived until now, only modified twice; in the 1st century B.C. when the Julian Calendar was developed and in 1582 when the Gregorian Calendar (Gregory XIII) was established.
